Friends by Mohamed Aied

Published by Dot MacKenzie under 162, Friends

Friends are the people that are close to me and I respect and trust them more than others. In this essay, I will prove how it is necessary to choose righteous friends, and how friendship is useful.

Our Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) said: “Individuals follow the same way and thinking as their close friends”. (At-Tirmidhi) Here our prophet stimulates us to be careful when we choose our close friends because they may influence our behavior. Also our prophet said:” Let each of you be careful about who you take as your closer friend.” (At-Tirmidhi) That means I must choose righteous friends who will never dissimulate or cheat me, so therefore I can trust him and feel tranquil about him.

Friendship has uncountable advantages. It has a great role in our society. The psychologist (Epstein) says that: The friendship of children contributes to a significant rise in social skills and ethical values” .Your friends will help you to accomplish your necessary tasks and carry them out with you. Finally, Islam stimulates people to have righteous friends and follow them.

In conclusion, friendship is very useful and has beneficial effects as psychologists say. Nobody can live without friends or he or she will be a recluse. I suggest you choose yours carefully.
